About Buzztrader

Why - Buzztrader was started when we needed a website to advertise our own website hosting services to car dealers. Looking at our options, most of the large car sites offered their own more expensive hosting and refused our ads. Not to mention most of their websites resembled a "Where's Waldo Book" much more than an effective advertising medium to reach buyers.

Who wants to pay $150.00 for one ad on a website that will have 10 other ads on the page? Not ads for other cars, but ads for tires, ads for wax, ads for car dealers, ads for everthing except the car you are trying to sell. The sites are becoming such a hode podge of flashing and moving ads, you have to call support just to figure out how to find the cars for sale. Then if they do accept your ad, they tell you what it can say. You don't even get to write your own ad copy?

Most dealers were fed up with the fees increasing and the sales decreasing. Many were paying $500 a month or more to advertise a handful of vehicles on one website. And none could survive on one website, so they all advertised on multiple sites. So the prospect of something FREE was met with open arms and excitement.

Dealers were being worked over for every penny they could spare because they did not understand the internet and paid thousands to tech people that claimed to know everything.

Clearly there was a desperate need for a quality free service in the automotive market. Coupled with our desperate need for a quality adverising medium, buzztrader was conceived.

With a budget of only $50,000.00 to advertise to car dealers, it made much more sense to build our own FREE classified and use the money to launch it. This would give us an unregulated advertising medium that would not cost cost us any additional money to use.

How -The site was launched on June 1st 2004. Within the first year the site had earned back almost the entire $50,000.00 investment and had produced many more clients than than the money would have by advertising on outside sites. The site now is our primary advertising tool for hosting of automotive related content.

The current site is valued in the millions of dollars based on industry evaluations of daily traffic and registered users. Unfortunately it does not produce millions in income, but none the less it has become a great place to buy and sell cars.

Everyone enjoys the simplicity of use and the quality of the content. Mostly, they enjoy the freedom and FREE advertising.

Now - The site has become a major portal to the automotive market with tens of thousands of daily visitors, hundreds of dealers and thousands of private sellers advertising vehicles for sale.We are committed to building on the base we already have, growing and injecting new technology as we develop it.

Our newest feature, The Dealer Website Inventory Feed, allows any dealer to use buzztrader as the tool to manage the vehicles on their own website. Consolidating the work to one place, getting free web exposure and using buzztraders bandwidth to serve all the photos and pages on their own website.

By giving away tools that other sites don't even have and providing advanced programing for free, we hope to build an online automotive empire like no other.

We are ahead of the game because we have years of branding and growth. We are a small home based business with low overhead and high profits. With out huge payrolls and liabilities we can continue to grow and offer great tools and resources for free. We may never be as large as autotrader.com or cars.com, but we are still going to try.
