1969 MERCEDES BENZ 280SE 3600 - MAKE ME AN OFFER THAT I CAN'T REFUSE 1969 Mercedes Benz 280 SE for sale. This car was purchased in 1969 - in Germany and then shipped to the US. I am the third owner, having purchased it in 1983. I did a complete engine rebuild in 1984 and drove the car until 1988. It has been parked in my garage since 1988. It still ran great the day that I parked it. But, it has not been started for many years. (We had the intention of starting it and letting it run for a while every month - but, we didn't keep up with it.) I believe the new engine has about 30,000 miles on it. It has a 6 cyl. gas engine, automatic transmission, black exterior with burgandy leather interior. Yes, it has some rust and the leather interior has wear. (But, hey - it's 38 years old.) All in all it is still a beautiful classic. This would make a wonderful PROJECT CAR without a whole lot of work and expense.
