(August 1, 2005) – Two wins from the past two weekends has lifted Michelin's 2005 Formula One tally to 12 victories from 13 races with wins in Germany (Fernando Alonso) and Hungary (Kimi Räikkönen).

The two title hopefuls have both scored 10 points from the past two races with Räikkönen suffering reliability problems in Germany and Alonso getting involved in a first corner incident in Hungary.

After four races in the past five weeks, the Formula One circus will take a well earned break before the new Turkish Grand Prix on August 22-24.

The win from Räikkönen came after an improved challenge from reigning World Champion Michael Schumacher who qualified on pole position and finished second.

Michael's brother, Toyota driver Ralf Schumacher earned his first podium finish for the MIchelin-equipped squad with third place.

"This is a great result for the entire team who have worked really hard these past weeks," Räikkönen said.

"At the first part of the race I was stuck behind Michael Schumacher, and it was impossible to pass him.

"However the team changed my strategy for the second pitstop and this meant that I could get in front of him and build a comfortable lead. The car felt really good throughout the race and the Michelin tyres were perfect right up until the last lap."
