FULTON, NY...Billy Decker ended a recent spell of bad luck and claimed the 35-lap DIRT Big Block Modified feature win last Saturday at Fulton Speedway on Promotion Speed Supply Night. Decker took the top spot away from Scott Prentice on lap-14 and then held off a strong running Jimmy Phelps to earn his third victory of the 2005 season at the Home of the Dynomax Victoria 200.
Chad Phelps jumped out to the early lead at the start of the Promotion Speed Supply DIRT Big Block Modified feature race from the pole starting position. After five circuits the DIRT Big Block Modified rookie driver continued to lead and was being followed in the top five by Prentice, Dan Vauter, Decker and Ryan Richardson. Phelps would lead the 25-car starting field for the opening seven circuits.
Prentice took the top spot away from Chad Phelps on lap eight. Prentice would lead the field though lap-13. Decker was able to take the top spot away from Prentice on lap-14. At the halfway mark Decker was being chased in the top five by Prentice, Jimmy Phelps, Chad Phelps and Tim Fuller. Richardson, Vinnie Vitale, Matt Sheppard, Tom Sears and Alan Johnson occupied positions sixth through tenth at the halfway mark.

After the restart Jimmy Phelps made several strong runs at Decker, but was never able to move around for good. Decker earned his third feature race victory of the season in the Gypsum Wholesalers ride.
