CARLISLE, Pa. – The
Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral completes Carlisle
Events’ 2005 car show season on Sept. 28-Oct. 2 at the Carlisle (Pa.)
Fairgrounds. Close to 3,000 vendors will offer all the automotive
accessories and memorabilia you can imagine. With more than 1,800
vehicles in the Car Corral, you’re sure to find the car or truck of

All 82 acres of the Carlisle Fairgrounds will be
full of everything automotive. Bring comfortable shoes to so you can
walk around and see all the vehicles, parts, accessories and
“automobilia” available. There are on-grounds banking and notary
services so that you can purchase a vehicle without having to leave the
fairgrounds. Attendees can also view a free family movie on Friday and
Saturday nights on the 10 television screens in the Food Court.
During
Fall Carlisle, the 1967 Pontiac GTO restored by high school students
through Carlisle Automotive Classrooms Foundation will be available for
sale. Students at the Dauphin County Technical School in Harrisburg,
Pa., took on this daunting project. The car was in desperate need of
attention when the students first saw it, but now it’s been restored to
its original beauty. Ames Performance of Marlborough, N.H., supplied
all the parts needed for the restoration.
The students have put
serious effort into the project, and the finished product will reflect
their hard efforts. This old Goat can stand up and be proud. When the
new owner drives it down the road, heads will turn as the 400-HO motor
rumbles and the beautiful gold paint glistens in the sun. Check

owning a true muscle car and in supporting the Carlisle Automotive
Classrooms Foundation.
Gates open at 7 a.m. General
admission is $9 daily Wednesday through Saturday and $5 Sunday.
Five-day passes are available for only $25. Children under 12 years old
