The six Mechanical Service Manuals are divided by
manufacturer (Ford, GM, Chrysler, European, and two Asian volumes)
to better meet the needs of automotive professionals. This eliminates
any guessing about whether a vehicle is classified as a car, truck,
van, or SUV - all a technician needs to know is what is the
make of vehicle and he or she can find the right manual.
"In addition to adding a second Asian manual, we've
added lots of illustrations throughout the series to make the procedures
even easier to follow," said David Koontz, publisher of Chilton
products for the Professional Business Unit of Thomson Delmar Learning.
"Technicians are visually-oriented and illustrations save them time."
The schedule for release is as follows:
Chrysler Manual is available today
Ford Manual is available today
General Motors Manual is available today
Asian Manual Set release date of 11/15/04
European Manual release date of 12/15/04
