FORD, LINCOLN AND MERCURY STARS SET TO
DAZZLE MIDDLE EAST MOTOR SHOW VISITORS
Dubai, UAE, 29 November, 2005 - For this
year's Middle East International Motor Show, visitors to the Ford
Motor Company stand in Hall 3 are in for a special treat as star
models make their Middle Eastern debut this December.
The legendary Ford GT returns in its
production version after a prelude by the GT concept during the
2003 show, showcasing Ford's heritage of performance cars
together with the mighty Ford Mustang GT. The best-selling SUV on
the planet, the Ford Explorer, also appears in its all-new model
for 2006, setting yet another benchmark in its segment with class-leading
features.
Another star attraction this year will be
Lincoln's all-new mid-size luxury sedan, the Zephyr, which
appears aside its luxury truck model, the Mark LT. As for
Mercury, this year's show will feature all-new models that make
their Middle Eastern debut, including the Milan mid-size sedan,
Monterey mini-van and the all-new 2006 Mountaineer mid-size SUV.
"Show visitors will definitely
understand the direction our brands are taking in refreshing
their lineups," said Hussein Murad, Ford Middle East's Sales
& Marketing director. "This year, our display is all
about the progressive and all-new products which we will soon
introduce to the Middle East. It reflects the dynamic changes
that are coming to our lineup. I would certainly watch that space!
Ford: Ford GT, Mustang GT, 2006
Explorer
Adrenaline-packed race lovers will be
delighted with the 5.4 Litre, V8 Ford GT production car, which,
like the concept, casts the familiar, sleek look of its namesake;
yet every dimension on the car is a unique reinterpretation of
the original. The 4.6 Litre V8 Mustang GT will complement the GT
with its Coupe and Convertible bodystyles.
Also gracing the stand will be the all-new
2006 model of the worlds best selling SUV, the Ford
Explorer, which appears with its new bolder styling and design,
featuring class exclusive safety features, segment-leading
interior room and quietness, and for the first time a floor-mounted
gear shift.
A Larger Mercury Line-Up
The Mercury line-up for the Motor Show
features the all-new 2006 Mountaineer, the Monterey minivan and
the mid-size Milan, both which make their Middle Eastern debut.
The brand's flagship model, the Grand Marquis, is also featured.
Lincoln: Lincoln Zephyr, Mark
LT
The V-6 powered, front-wheel-drive,
contemporary Lincoln Zephyr alongside the authentic luxury truck
the Mark LT will also be prominent on the stand. Both models
feature alongside the new Navigator full-size SUV and the luxury
sports sedan, the LS V8.
