Instructions
for starting your own
automotive service business in 4 easy steps
The program we offer
will make you money and help our website grow. People are
putting their kids through college by listing items on
ebay. We offer an even better opportunity and the clients
are car dealers with huge advertising budgets. You will
be offering a service to them by taking pictures of their
cars and listing them on buzztrader.com. Even at $5/car a
car lot with over 100 cars is a $500 paycheck. Try asking
your current boss for $500.00 for a few hours work, he
will probably laugh at you. But in the end, you will be
the one laughing all the way to the bank.
STEP #1: You will need to do is browse the BuzzTrader.com Website. You will probably be asked
questions about the site, so be prepared to answer them.
For a quick summary, read these basic facts.
- Buzztrader has 10 times as
much traffic as most major metropolitan news
papers
- BuzzTrader is dedicated to
Used Car Sales, so 100% of the traffic is
potential car buyers where most other advertising
media may boast big viewer numbers but only a
small percentage of the viewer/readers are
looking for vehicles. Such as a local newspaper,
even with 20,000 subscribers, how many are
actually reading the car ads? Its is usually less
than a few percent or under 400.
- The internet now accounts for
30% of used car retail sales and more than 70% of
cars purchased have been view online before
purchasing. You just can't avoid the internet if
you are going to sell cars.
- The majority of Classic car
dealers sell most of their cars online without
ever meeting the buyers and without the buyers
ever seeing the cars.
- BuzzTrader is growing faster
than e-bay did when it initially started.
- Within 1 year, estimates see
BuzzTrader surpassing volume in sales of e-bay
motors.
- In the first week of opening
10% of the cars listed on BuzzTrader were sold.
Those are hard facts
that no one can argue with, as well as powerful tools you
can use to sell your service.
STEP #2: Make a plan for visiting local car dealers.
You could just "Wing It" and drive around until
you find dealers, but that is not very cost effective or
efficient.
The best method for
finding dealers is by using 2 mediums, the local
newspaper and the yellow pages. You can group together
dealers in the same area or on the same streets and write
out a check list of dealers to visit.
STEP #3: Print at least one of the brochures or
business cards we have prepared for you so that you can
give the dealer professional looking documentation or
advertising material to make you more credible. You won't
need a huge stack, only 20 or 30 pages to get started.
You can print 1 page and copy it at a local kinko's or
Library for 5 or 10 cents each for black and white and $0.75
to $1.00 each for color. You can also order
professionally printed brochures directly from us for 25
cents each. That is our cost for printed trifold
brochures about BuzzTrader, and we are more than happy to
mail you 10, 15, 20 or even 1000 or more any time you
need them.
Now, with camera in
hand, you are ready to begin building your customer base.
STEP #4: Drive onto the dealers lot, you will no
doubt be approached by one or more of several anxious
sales people. They are like sharks waiting to strike, but
don't sweat it, because what they don't know is that so
are you.
Hand the sales person
one of your printed flyers or brochures, explain that you
have a photo service posting vehicles on a high traffic
website called BuzzTrader.com (more than likely they have
already head of it). The sales person wont be able to
help you and wont want to because you don't represent a
commission to them, so they will quickly take you to the
person in charge.
Hand that person the
same flyer, explain the value and cost of your service in
3 sentences or less remembering that their attention span
will be short so make your sell short and precise. Within
a few seconds they will either say a whopping YES or No.
If they say yes, pull out your preprinted agreement with
pricing and give it to them to sign. If they say No,
thank them for their time and give them your business
card, tell them you are in that area each week if they
decide they would like to try out your service in the
future.
Of course you are not
done with this dealer if they said no, you have only
planted the first seed. We all know they wont take NO for
an answer when you go to buy a car, and you are not
accepting that either. But for the first contact you have
done your job, made a good impression and did not seem
pushy. They have the brochure to ponder and will be
primed for your next visit maybe in the next 7 to 10 days.
If you have a dealer
that wants the service the best thing to do is start
taking pics of cars. The first time will be the hardest
since you have all the cars on the lot. When you return
next week you may only have 5-10 new cars to take pics of.
You may want to take a handful of pics to start and take
the remainder the following week to conserve time.
Remember, the best
time to meet with dealers is Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm.
On Friday through Sunday and after 4pm daily most dealers
have customers to deal with and wont be interested in
seeing your product and they could see it as an invasion
of their valuable sale time.
The nice part is you
can take pics at any time, even if the dealer is closed
on Sunday, you have the lot to yourself and can quickly
snap some shots of the inventory. So remember it is not
prudent to spend the workday taking pics when you still
need to find more dealers to fill your route.
However taking a few
pics immediately will be a show of good faith and a
gesture of how quickly you intend to advertise the
dealers cars. So don't jet off without at least taking a
few pics.
Once you have
completed your rounds return home with the pics you have
taken, sit down at your computer with a beer or glass of
wine (you deserve it, you have just started your own
business after all) and begin placing ads for your
dealers. Add each dealers cars and descriptions and
prices and Pow! Another day, another $500.
You are now a self
employed independent on your way to becoming one of the
new era of entrepreneurs capitalizing on the internets
wealth.
You can continue to
add dealers to your route and build your income. You will
have to manage the cost of taking the pics based on your
travel distance and the number of cars added each week.
So your prices may change, but you now have a solid
income base that you did not have yesterday.
Yes, you are going to
have to work at it. But $100,000.00 salary is worth
working for. It's the low paying job that makes you
depressed and unwilling to work.
